Biography

Stu Jahr's lapidary skill is a family-inherited trait. His father, Tom Jahr, did lapidary when he was a young boy growing up in Sebewaing. In Stu's earlier years of marriage he chose to also hone his skills at the lapidary bench. A career came and went and so with ‘new-found-freedom’ in his retirement he once again has returned to lapidary specializing in Petoskey stone jewelry. He claims this is his hobby, but his skill is certainly worthy to be called art. You may enjoy Stu’s art at particular summer venues in and around the Michigan Thumb area.
